Ross County fair just ended. Claim to fame, more tan 1,000 camp sites at the fair and all of them were full.
ASAIK, there are no county fairs here in Japan. I miss them. The one back home (Brazoria County, Texas) is from Friday, October 4 to Saturday, October 12.
Our county fair was July 20-28. El Paso County, Colorado.
I don’t think I have ever been to it though. It’s really not for us “city” folk though. It’s pretty much an agricultural community thing here.
Someone on a local news station message board said it was a worthless attempt and not worth the money. Yep, they were disappointed.
I’ve been to our state fair a LONG time ago, and it was pretty much the same. These days though they bring in some pretty big acts for entertainment but from some of my out-of-state friends that now live here say even though they bring in big acts it’s still pretty sucky. One friend was born and raised in Wisconsin and says our state fair fails in comparison. http://www.coloradosfair.com/
Never been to a county fair in my county (although I now see listings for a 4-H Youth Fair) - we had "The Fair"**. Lived on the same street as it, two miles away. When I was growing up, I thought every fair was that big.

I can’t wait.
I think ours is this coming weekend. I miss the ones from when I was a kid, this urban county fair just isn’t the same.
