where any children killed in the 9/11 attacks?

 How do the preceding posts refute that idea?

I think that the list of 9/11 victims posted by Whack-a-mole contains a couple of Jewish names.

Catholic theologian John of Falkenberg.

Falkenberg graves at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Chicago.

Falkenberg Catholic goods.

The larger list, not just the kids referred to above, Wallooon. For instance, Angela Susan Scheinberg, Karen Helene Schmidt, Clarin Shellie Schwartz, John Schwartz, and Mark Schwartz, all killed in the WTC. Now, of course not every Scheinberg, Schmidt and Schwartz is necessarily Jewish, but the likelihood is that some high percentage of such names do indicate Jewish heritage, and there are a lot of such names. The conspiracy theory claims all Jews were warned not to go to the WTC on that day.

:smack: Sorry about misspelling your name, Walloon.

I write as someone from Milwaukee, the most German city in America, where all the Schmidts and Schwartzes I knew were gentiles, usually Catholics.

Maybe they got the name from their father, while Jewishness is technically passed down through the mother. The people telling all the Jews to get out may have been very very circumspect in terms of who they let in to the secret Jewish warning network.

Eggggg, why am I even having this discussion :smack:

I saw him on TV. He was late because he was taking his five-year-old daughter to school for her first day of kindergarten. He was very upset (of course) about how many employees he lost and how guilty he felt about surviving.

I wanted to hug him, and tell him, “Look, your daughter will be able to dance with her daddy at her wedding. Think about that.”

IIRC, the children on the plane were part of a field trip sponsored by National Geographic.

I know this is going to sound awfully anecdotal, but a high-school friend of mine lost her uncle in the WTC, and he was indeed Jewish. But anyway, I’m sure a better refutation is out there somewhere.

I heard that a “1 train” subway car was crushed, and I thought there were fatalities. Anyone else have data on this?

Fair enough. That’s a perfect example of what I said about the name not necessarily being an indicator of ethnicity. In the New York City metro area, however, the majority of Schwartzes are likely Jewish. To use a pop culture reference: Mel Brook’s use of “The Schwartz be with you.” in Spaceballs.

A friend of mine is a rabbi, and he did services for CT victims.

"Oye Vey!

"Oye Vey!

Hmmm…here’s some pix of Cortlandt Street on the 1 after the attack. I had not heard that a train got crushed although I can’t be sure that people who had just exited one of the trains weren’t hit by debris and killed. The main exit is directly across from the complex. NYC Subway.org, a great site, has a list of PATH trains that were destroyed but doesn’t mention any MTA trains.

Y’all with the Jewish conspiracy thing, read the whole of NurseCarmen’s post. He’s saying that it was children who masterminded it, not the Jews, which is why there weren’t any kids around.

See? There were no kids in the WTC when it came down because they knew (having planned it) and evacuated beforehand. It’s a joke, y’all.

Thank you *Bambi.
