Where are all the election deniers hiding?

I guess the takeaway here is that Republicans should be allowed to promise to their voters that they will overturn future elections, but Democrats should not be allowed to comment on it.

The Hillary Cite back and forth needs to end. It has overwhelmed the thread.

If you want to continue it, start a new thread, preferably in the Pit but if you can keep it civil in P&E.

This is off topic, but it might be information you’re not aware of. Newsweek was sold in 2014 to the IB Times, and it’s been garbage ever since. They basically slapped the name on low-effort web articles that regurgitate whatever drives traffic, much like a for-profit degree mill buying up local accredited universities to squeeze out what they can of the entity’s reputation.

If they’re “hiding”, Kari Lake is the worst hide-and-seek player ever.

Heard on the news this afternoon that Adam Laxalt has finally conceded. He said something like, “A challenge won’t change the results”. Not exactly a denial, but you could smell it if the wind was right.

Oddly enough Masters has actually conceded. He’s now washed up as far as politics are concerned, no true believer would ever give up.

I guess that republican hat wearing guy saying that, if elected, Arizona will never go Blue again no matter what and that he was going to colude with other states officials to do the same – is just hysteria to think he would do what he says.

C’mon D_Anconia…you are not dumb. You know exactly what was going on.

I am starting to think you are a bit…dishonest.

They haven’t been ignored the last 30 years. Why should you expect them to disappear now?

I don’t. That was essentially a rhetorical question.

As in

Getting the deplorables back under their rock is a precondition for sensible conservatism to make a reappearance in Republican party politics. The deplorables are mostly spun up by for-profit propaganda mongers who will lose vast revenue if the deplorables are permitted to go dormant.

Since nobody paying attention can sensibly have any expectation the for-profit propaganda machine will be switched off any time soon, they also know sensible conservatism won’t make a reappearance any time soon.

Sorry to be unclear.

Modnote: This is over the line. Attacking the poster and not his posts. Please do not do this again.

I didn’t see what is written here, but I shouldn’t have said I was thinking someone might be being dishonest. If a mod wants to pull that sentence, I am perfectly fine with it.

At least two counties on Monday voted to not certify their respective county elections: Cochise County in Arizona, where county supervisors voted 2-1 to delay certification until at least Friday, beyond the Monday statutory deadline, and Luzerne County in Pennsylvania, where the county board deadlocked 2-2 on a certification vote, with one abstention who later said he would vote to certify at a future meeting.

“Absent this Court’s intervention, the Secretary will have no choice but to complete the statewide canvass by December 8 without Cochise County’s votes included,” attorneys for Hobbs

These people are ready to disenfranchise the whole county, which voted for Lake by double digit points, just to throw a hissy fit. Seems counter productive to me. It will only lower statewide R totals, the rest of the votes will be certified anyway, and they risk adverse actions personally for refusing to carry out lawful orders.

Oh I don’t see it that way. They know Lake lost decisively. But by pulling this, they can claim that the Republican-heavy county was left out which gives another talking point for those insisting on vote fraud.

Our county’s vote was stolen from us by the Librul conspiracy. Time to march on Phoenix with our pitchforks, torches, and AK-47s.

That’s the message the Cochise County Board of Supervisors wants to send. It’ll sell well to their constituency.

Republican: “The system doesn’t work!”
[System works fine]
[Republican deliberately fucks up the system]
“See! I told you! The system doesn’t work!”

We’ve seen this a thousand times, in a hundred contexts, over the past decade or more.

Remember when the Gore/Lieberman ticket was ridiculed as Sore/Loserman? We had no idea what crybabies really were until we saw republicans lose legitimate elections. If democracy doesn’t give them power, they’ll steal it. Simple as that.

Welp!

Good to see, but the Judge needs to have a plan for when they certify it in favor of someone who very obviously and very publicly lost.
