Where are my Chrome windows?

I recently upgraded to Advanced System Care 6.0. Ran a scan and then realized that it was deleting browser history. So I unchecked the box that controls that particular action, and while IE is now showing browser history, Chrome is not, which is kind of the point of having Chrome: those convenient little click windows for the most used sites. They return during the time the computer is on, but not after rebooting. How can I get them back (permanently)?

So. . .no ideas then?

So what is Advanced System Care 6.0?

Got a web address?

It’s an Iobit program. I think I may have fixed the problem, though, and I have an email in to the online help. The main problem I was having was trying to decipher the rather poor instructions on the website.

Those sorts of programs are usually killing a non-existent gnat with a hammer. It’s like trying to paint a room by throwing buckets of paint at it, you’ll get the room painted but also a lot of mess.

I did some digging. At first I thought it was just another Windows utilities suite. Well it is. Freeware and paid versions. Nice reviews from some heavyweights like CNET. Then I dug some more.

IObit was accused of stealing intellectual property fro Malwarebytes back in 2009. They denied it, but subsequent research seems to support the accusation of theft. Even McAfee supported the theft accusation.

Too much work. Barrel of paint+hand grenade. Run.
