Having moved a few years ago from the second sunniest city in the US, Redding, Ca, straight west to the Redwood coast, it amazes me that the highest temp ever here is 87f. In Redding, the average for a couple months every year was 99f+ and 115f+ isn’t considered abnormal.
Are there other areas that are so temperate? I guess as someone who has spent most of their life in the hotter climes, it seems weird to never see the 90’s. Just wondering if there are other areas like this in the US.
Aside: I love it here; everyday is exactly the same, just you never know how that will be every hour or so. It changes quickly, but only within a certain mild range. Yeah, it’s awesome. When it is sunny everyday for nearly half a year straight, a cloud blocking the sun is a lovely thing.
Oops, meant to mention, it doesn’t get cold here much either. Frost is an infrequent visitor. I’m more looking for places that aren’t frozen over during the chillier months.

Mt. Washington, New Hampshire has … the lowest mean summer (June, July, August) temperature, 51.6°F.

I’m gonna guess this needs to be qualified by “among reporting stations” - as I expect that if you chose a sufficiently high western mountain, mean summer temperatures would be significantly lower. As evidence, note that more than a few retain year-round snow, which Mt. Washington does not.
