From what I understand, there is a full or near-full solar eclipse coming up on Christmas this year. January 1, 2001 will usher in the 21st century.
That being said, how come I haven’t heard any loons procaliming the end is nigh? A solar eclipse on what many consider to be the holiest of days and on the cusp of a new century seems to me like someone out there must feel it harkens for the end of the world? Anyone hear anything?
(hmmm, or is it really going to happen this time and you guys just don’t want me to know?)
I think the crazies aren’t all that scientifically inclined.
They went for the first “resurrection” date of 2000, ignoring the math, and are now on to other concerns.
I’ve been warning everybody about this for weeks now but people just will not take me seriously, one day I’m gonna be right.
Then who will have the last laugh, there I told you so, I advised you all not to take out pension plans and mortgages, I even pointed out that no-one had to worry about sell by dates anymore - but do they listen - oh no they don’t, but God knows his own, oh yes he does, and he won’t forget neither and when he gets mad he gets really mean, like did I tell you about the Tower of Babel, yeah everyone knows it see, but they can’t see that its modern equivalent is the internet and Babelfish, I mean, like how big a clue is that? And that asteroid that’s supposed to be thirty years away is a red herring (not literallly silly) we won’t make it that long, you should take a listen to David Bowie’s well famous song Five Years 'cos it really says it all and it’s not his fault that he got the actual timespan wrong, I mean he isn’t actually God and neither is Eric Clapton too. There won’t be much point in digging a nuclear shelter or laying food aside because the Word will be spoken and there will be nothing but souls and things without name and we will all be chosen or not.
