Melania just came out with an official statement condemning the violence, but also, in true trump family tradition, making it about her:

Thing is, for 5 years I have tried my best to not do mean takes on Melania. Back in '15/'16 I might have snarked about the “salacious gossip” when it first showed up but I have really tried to not go there. Heck, I was among those who’d been able to buy into that Mel found herself in a ride that was not what she bought the ticket for – that she had signed up for a fancy gig as Trophy Wife and suddenly now was in the political dogpit.
But goodness gracious it has been obvious for a while that she herself does consciously embrace the whole “everyone is so unfair to us” bullshit.
