Yeah, I realised I screwed up. That was in euros I think.
Unfortunately, there’s rich and rich. Although I earn twice what I did when I left university 6 years ago, I still have no chance whatsoever of being able to afford to buy a house, at least not one anywhere near where I work. A friend of mine has just bought a small 2-bedroom flat in a not-particularly-nice part of south London, and it cost him over a quarter of a million pounds. Truly mind-boggling.

My dear you should move to Texas. You can get a 2,000 square foot house here (3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, etc etc) for under $180,000.
Cost of living is cheap here. It’s also hot in the summer but you get use to it.
Wow - I really ought to. Especially with current exchange rates: £1 = $1.80 give or take a bit. That’s £100k, which would just about buy you a parking space in London…
