But really, many Burmese look at Iraq and hold out hope that the US will invade Burma, too. They simply do not understand the particulars of Iraq. But the government is deathly afraid of this happening. An Aussie reporter I know was was talking to an intelligence official – forget if it was an American or Aussie official – who said he had personally seen the Burmese government’s detailed battle plans for when – NOT if – the US invaded. Seems the government is absolutely terrified of the possibility, no matter how ridiculous it may seem to you and me. That’s third-hand information, but it agrees with other info I’ve come across.
When I look at a map, it does look like a good segue for taking over both India and China. Thailand has good beaches and hot girls as well. It doesn’t sound like a bad solution to me. If we took over both India and China, we could just outsource to ourselves greatly reducing the trade deficit and maybe putting it into the positive. I am not sure what we should do with Thailand but it could be like Mexico with better nude entertainment (no donkeys and hotter women).
To be fair, most of the people who support Bush will tell you we invaded Iraq because Bush was mistreating his people. By that logic, Burma and Tibet should be atop the list of places to go next. Only after we liberate most of Africa, of course.
Hmm, checking the CIA Factbook:
Maybe they do have a point. There’s stuff we want, and it sounds like their economic situation is similar to ours. They could be the fifty-first state.
I think that the goldfish, darts and balloons, etc. are enough.
I finally understand the Iraq war; we invaded Iraq to take our minds off of the way Bush was mistreating us. That makes a hell of a lot more sense than any of the garbage this administration has pumped out.
