My church (well I should say the social justice class) would like to make a memorial to those who have died. Having photos and bios of as many soldiers as possible would be impactful. Is there anywhere that we could find this?

But then the faces get smaller and you see a larger pic.

The Washington Post has individual photos and bios here, in a project called Faces of the Fallen.
When the deaths hit 4,000 The New York Times ran all of the photos. I can’t seem to find it in their site but maybe if you dig a little deeper you can come up with what they ran in print.
I think the New York Times has it on this page, although it uses a Flash application.
