Where can one get a rib hub?

I’m trying to build a cable reeler such as this, designed to roll a variety of cables around its ribs, which then then collapse so the rolled cable can be removed. The parts proving tricky to find are where the ribs connect to the shaft.

On this list of umbrella parts (the folding mechanism with one sliding part and one fixed part resemble and umbrella in operation) shows in its first line a “Top Stationary Hub” and a “Sliding Hub”, which would be ideal in metal.

I’m preparing to improvise one with corner braces, but the real piece would be more durable, I expect. If anyone knows of a supplier, preferably a Canadian one, it’ll be appreciated.

It strikes me that if you’re thinking of building your own from beach umbrella parts you’d be better off to buy the industrial unit for $$$ or a hobby yarn winder for $ and live with its lighter construction. Good luck!
