ADHD medications are stimulants, no? That would explain your weight loss, even if you didn’t change your diet.
They also curb your appetite – I know that from my experience with Ritalin.
Right, the point though is that I haven’t been on them long enough for them to have had this much of an effect–some of the loss must have been before I started taking them.
As Nava notes, it really depends on how you’re built and where you lose fat from. Since starting this thread, I’ve noticed that a pair of jeans that are a bit too big (except during that week) are a lot more droopy than they used to be. Usually the waist band is an inch or so below my belly button, but now it’s more like 3-4". But my hips still manage to keep them on. Even at your weight (though not any time recently, sigh) I’m still pretty hippy.
There is a lot of hating going on in this thread.
I dropped about 20-30 pounds this year accidently too, although I most certainly noticed it when I needed to buy new jeans (kudos to Guess jeans for making a size 31 x 34) My diet changed slightly when I changed jobs and stopped eating out for lunch, not realizing how many calories I’d consume with the hearty lunches.
Although now I need to be more careful about not losing weight, as being 6’5 and 168 pounds ain’t exactly ideal. Oh, and I stay thin by running about 30 miles a week. I would have bought the 30x34 but apparently my thighs are too muscular for the waist size and won’t fit.
It’s only about 5 pounds a week with maybe a couple of pounds before that month. I lost ten pounds over Christmas without noticing it until I weighed myself. My weight also changed by 5 pounds in one day this week, but I’m pretty certain that was just to do with me weighing myself closer to meal time. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if amphetamines made you lose 3-5lbs a week immediately.
Yeah - it’s weird. Several people misreading things just for the fun of insulting someone.
