Where do I get a purple zoot suit?

Mainly to annoy my brother, I announced that I would arrive at his wedding wearing a bright purple zoot suit. Much more susceptible to my eccentric charm than he, his fiance thought it a grand idea. So now I actually have to follow through on my threat and get a purple suit. But where to find one? I am a techie, and therefore I have quite limited suit-shopping experience, pretty much limited to a trip to Men’s Warehouse every five years. Don’t tell me to go to a thrift store. Those places creep me out. And probably wouldn’t have anything to fit my bulbous frame. I want a new purple suit.

Xiexie.

You don’t have to look very hard. Try here:

Scroll down and click on “Joker purple”.

Something like this ?

Let’s hope a riot doesn’t break out!

Those are perfect! Now, for some stupid questions: How do I figure out my measurements? I’m not used to buying clothes with sizes more complicated than “XL.” I know my waiste is about size 48, and I’m 5’10" tall.

you’ll also need to know your inseam, which you find out by measuring from your crotch to the floor.

Your chest measurement is the jacket measurement-waist the pants and inseam from the crotch (wearing pants snug the tape up) to top of shoe (or a little lower if you want a “drape”)

Also from looking at the pic those pants are pegged pretty severely.

From your measurement descriptions you may not be able to get the pants on.
Also at $70 I wouldn’t expect a good fit- and don’t get it wet before the party. Just may dissolve

I think that the question you’re really trying to ask is: “Where can I acquire some taste in clothing?”

Just to promote local businesses, I’ll chip in with http://www.elpachuco.com/

Friedo,

Why stop at a zoot suit? Why not go to the wedding in full pimp regalia?

I admit that some of their wares are a little on the pricey side, but what wardrobe is complete without one?

Just for completeness’ sake:

A year and a half ago I saw purple zoot suits (and red ones) in the mens suits section of Burlington Coats Factory.
