Where do you find happiness?

I know, I know…I should be busy slaving away doing physics homework, but I’m tired, my head hurts, and I’ve got too much going on to focus on homework. What I really need is to be happy, but how does one go about doing this? I used to find happiness from playing computer games, from being with friends, from listening to music, drawing, etc. But now I have school, and at least for the rest of this week, work, so I have no time to do most of those things, but I still desire to be happy. Right now I’m unhappy. If someone developed canned happiness, I would personally make them a success. So, in search of ways to find happiness, I turn to my friends, the teeming hundreds (Those who actually post here): How do you find ways to be happy? What are some plausible suggestions you might have for me?

Well, I’m not sure if these will help you, but I can tell you when I am truly happy:
[ul]
[li]When I’m playing my bass[/li][li]When I’m playing my bass with someone playing along[/li][li]When I’m writing (poetry, plays, screenplays, stories, etc.)[/li][li]When I am with friends or family[/li][li]When I make people happy or make someone laugh[/li][li]When in front of an audience (either acting or doing magic)[/li][li]When helping others[/li][li]When I’m drawing or painting[/li][li]When reading[/li][li]When watching a good movie[/li][li]When talking to someone[/li][li]When watching a movie that’s so bad it’s good[/li][li]When just hanging out with someone[/li][li]When it’s a hot day, and you get a big drink of something really, really cool[/li][li]When it’s a really cold day, and I can just stay in bed with my feathertick on and a hot cup of chocolate.[/li][li]Cuddling up with someone else[/li][li]Making someone who is really sad smile, if just for a minute, or even laugh[/li][li]When someone likes something that I have made (film, story, etc.)[/li][li]When I learn something new[/li][/ul]

There’s a lot of other things that make me happy (I’m a happy person) but I’ll have to think about it.

With my husband. With my family. With my cats and dog. Reading a good book. Listening to rain. Listening to classical music. Watching a good book. Spending time with my best friend. Learning something new. Teaching someone something new. Sharing opinions about a book or movie with someone. Singing. Taking nature photos.

When I’m not trying to surround myself with materialistic and superficial gains. I apologize for sounding cruel, but staying out 'til 7 AM getting drunk with a girl you’ve got the hots for may be fun, but if that’s all you got, it’s not going to make you happy.

For your information SPOOFE, I’ve only gotten drunk with her once, and I’ve never stayed out past 5:30 except on that one occasion that I got drunk.

Happiness…hmmmm.

Seeing someone get good news. Watching my kids laugh at videos that I thought were cool when I was a kid. Being able to really make someone else feel good with support or humor or a well-deserved compliment. Actually being able to realize when one of those little, meaningless, mundane but still totally cool things happen–and basking in it. Knowing there are people who truly care about me. All that, vanilla wafers and a cold can of coke.

Same as my keys: right where I left it.

Well, it’s not under my bed with all those boogiemen.

Aha! at the Godiva Chocolate Store…

Reminds me of Forrest Gump:

Lt. Dan: “Have you found Jesus, Gump?”

Forrest: “I didn’t know I was supposed to be looking for him.”

In the last place you look.
