Where do you want your LINK ?

:dubious:

what is the most popular home page on the internet?

blank

Seriously, though, I think iGoogle is getting quite popular as a home page, since it has so many possible categories for news and entertainment and also access to gmail accounts. It’s my current homepage.

There is no way to know this. We can guess, though.

I would guess Google.

I’m gonna guess Yahoo.

I’m going to take a wild guess and say the SDMB. Hey, it’s my homepage.

Thanks! I just changed my homepage to there.

So you do NOT know what site has world-wide satistics for website evaluations EITHER ?

NOPE

Plenty of sites have such statistics, but they won’t answer your question. They collect things like traffic, browser usage ratios, etc., but don’t typically capture the users configured homepage, as that’s not really considered kosher.

The answer to your question is likely Yahoo, as it still beats out Google in total pageviews, and being more of a standard portal makes them even more likely to be the preferred start page. Google does get slightly more unique users per day, but they have a lower pageview per user number than Yahoo.

If you want to get general traffic rankings, Alexa is a decent option.

If by “portal” you mean that it is crammed full of all sorts of stuff which makes it take longer to finish loading, then you’ve explained why my home page is Google.

Mods! Can someone move this poll to GD, please?

There, I fixed your misspellings.

J Cubed, I’m going to do a very dangerous thing. I’m going to assume you don’t know the rule about changing people’s words in the quote boxes.

The quote boxes are not to be messed with. If you wish to change someone’s words, do it outside of a quote box. This is not an official warning, however, please don’t do this again.

In the meantime, I’m moving this to MPSIMS.

GQ > MPSIMS

Perhaps I mistakenly selected the incorrect option ; however, I intended to referr to the select
ed reply inorder to clarify my personal comment!

Who the heck wouldn’t change their homepage if that’s what it was linking to? I mean, if you’re smart enough to change it to a nonexistent web site, surely you’d be smart enough to change it back?

:stuck_out_tongue:

Evidentialy, “yahoo” currently has a better financial gustalt as well as more traffic;however,

I am contenuing to invisticate and intend to include other vinues than “.com”:
