The election is over. What is the reason for the continued enthusiastic support by Democrats of Messiah Obama’s campaign to kill random Pakistanis? The only options are that they enjoy seeing innocent people die, or that they don’t care if innocent people die but aren’t willing to contradict the orders of their deity. (Please don’t tell me a bunch of nonsense about how we need to 9/11 the al-qaeda because terrorism taliban soldiers or anything similarly dimwitted).

I mean I really wouldn’t underestimate the power and persuasiveness of right-wing media in this. It really does provide these people with a steady diet of insanity. Yeah, I know the underlying appetite has to be there, but I think the right-wing media does tie it all together for them, and keeps them amped-up and angry. If they had to rely only on what the they could hear and see with their own senses, I don’t think they could do it.
Other than that I guess there’s a few things going on. I mean Jesus was an apocalyptic prophet, so that’s been going on a long time. And it’s not unique to the right. Some leftists are waiting for the end times too. They maybe think its coming in the form of some sort of environmental catastrophe, so the root cause is different. But the psychology is the same. It’s a question of people finally getting the punishment they deserve.
And I really do think too that Obama being black is part of it. And I’m not just trying to be mean about it - I mean I get that we’re all racist. I’m not trying to point the finger here. But I do think that’s one of the things that makes them feel like their heads are about to explode.
As far as the criminals are concerned - I sort of get it. I have never once in my life thought, “God, I wish I had a gun.” But it wouldn’t take more than one of those times for me to at least think about getting one. So if I lived in a dangerous neighborhood or something, sure. But my thing is I don’t think many of the gun nuts actually live in those neighborhoods. I think they mostly live in perfectly safe neighborhoods. And their guns are just toys, or props, for their fantasies of being badasses. So I don’t have a problem with guns. I have a problem with people who Put fantasy ahead of reality. Living in a fantasy world and having a deadly weapon is a bad combination.
People who think the Glock in their closet or whatever is going to stop a troop of Marines are just fucking idiots. There’s no kind way to say it. Most of them haven’t seen their own dick in years, and they’re going to become freedom fighters? Bullshit. It’s a fantasy.
This is true. The second amendment and an armed populace are an important control against tyrannical government.

Examples of this: Keeping a gun for defense. Locking your doors at night. Stopping newspaper delivery when you go on vacation.
Arguing that this is even a remotely debatable standpoint makes you look like a caricature of a liberal weenie who needs the government to care for him because he can’t look after himself.
Christians are persecuted in our society in some ways. White males certainly are. White males are the first to be laid off by companies fearing lawsuits and the last (behind Asian’s, who get it even worse) to be admitted to college behind other races.
Denying that our society discriminates against white males is just simply denying reality.
This is very simply true as well. Look at all the stories recently coming out of MA with abuse of ABT cards for example. People are using the things at strip clubs and package stores.
Destroying is a bit strong, but illegal immigrants who are here in the tens of millions certainly are a drain on our society and cost us much more then we get in benefits from them.
Again, not nearly debatable. You might argue that their children will be productive members of society, but the first generation of illegals we have now are overwhelmingly on public support at higher rates than US citizens. For an example see Auntie Zetuni.

Whatever this means, you could certainly say there was something “off” about Bush according to Liberals. He was hated by the left far more than Obama is hated by the right.

So why do white males, on average, have higher incomes, lower unemployment, higher representation at the tops of companies, and the like than other demographics? Are white males just so innately superior that they’re able to not only overcome society’s discrimination, but exceed every other demographic in wealth, status, and power?
As compared to who? Asians? White males do worse in all those categories vs Asians.
But even if I agreed with everything you were saying: That’s just justifying the discrimination against white males that our society does.
That’s the best you can do? Ok, compared to everyone else then- and Asians do actually have a higher poverty rate then white people. And white men earn more than Asian men among high school and college graduates, only lagging behind (slightly) among those with post-grad education.
So you’re for discrimination against white males, because they have it so good? From a conservative, that’s remarkable. Ok, sarcasm off- how are white men doing so well- better than all other demographics (except for extremely educated Asian men), if white men are discriminated against? Is it just innate superiority? How do you explain it?

And as John Stewart pointed out on The Daily Show, a common argument is that if the Jews were armed, the Holocaust wouldn’t have happened. France couldn’t stop Hitler and they were a world power. What chance would a persecuted minority have?
I believe people are entitled to take whatever steps they feel are necessary to ensure their security, including owning a firearm. However, there is a difference between wanting to be secure and thinking you are suddenly defenseless because it’s harder for you to get ahold of an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle.
I have high school friends who still live around the Newton, CT area who rant about that sort of stuff. Mass shooting aside, this is a part of the country where there is like one murder every 10 years. But they act as if an “assault weapons” ban will open the door to Bridgeport and Danbury storming into the suburbs and making off with all the white women like a raiding Mongol hoarde.
They are “persecuted” in that they are not allowed to teach their religeous docterine as science in public schools, as per the First Amendment. I suggest you read up on historic treament of the Jews if you want to understand persecution.

Really it’s these last two statements of yours that makes my point for me. Because it is difficult for me to understand how in a society where white men tend to dominate most of the leadership positions, you feel that we are persecuted.
I doubt that. The left criticized Bush’s polices, his communication skills and his perceived lack of intellect. The right seems determined to undermine Obama’s legitimacy to even hold the position. Implying that he is not born of this country, that he’s “socialist”, so on and so forth.
The left thinks Bush was an incompetent jerk. The right acts as if Obama is the Manchurian Candidate. One of these is slightly crazier than the other.

Keep hope and have faith. It won’t always be so. Why, someday, we might even have a Christian majority in this country – it’s even possible that a Christian will be President some day!
