Apologies, I wouldn’t ask this here but I know very little about games, I did try googling the answer and the also checked the application forums but its just left me more confused.
I downloaded the game ‘Endling: Extinction is Forever’ in the version that also includes the soundtrack and various artwork. My question is where is the music and art stored on my PC’s hard-drive? Surely I don’t have to open the Steam application every time I want to listen to the music or access the art? Thank you in advance!
By default, apps are stored under:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common
There will be a subdirectory for that particular game. Whether the game put the soundtrack, etc. under that directory is a different story. That’s up to the developer.
Does the soundtrack show as a separate entry in your library? On the library page, I have a drop-down menu with a checkbox for “soundtracks”. I don’t have that particular one, but I do have a few others that show up. When I download the soundtrack, I can right-click on the title, go to Manage->Browse local files, and see mp3/FLAC files.
Some games will have a subdirector called “extras” or the like. Or, you can go to the main directory I mentioned, and do a file search for “jpg” or “png”. If you spot the files you want, assuming using the Explorer file search, you can then right-click on one of the files and hit “open file location” to get the full listing.
I would reiterate what @Dr.Strangelove suggested a handful of posts ago and make sure it downloaded. You should be able to download or re-download from Steam by going to it directly.
