OT, but something I’ve been curious about for a long time, and since you’ve been gone, haven’t been able to ask you. . .
My subscription lapsed about two years ago. My title said “Charter Member” when I first came back, but reverted to guest soon after.
Where have I been? Mostly playing World of Warcraft.

I always liked your name. It’s fun to say (well, in my head at least).
I was slightly freaked out to see ruadh contributing to a thread the other day. It’s like going back in time. In my day that was a name that cropped up in all sorts of threads that I was interested in. Have these people been lurking/socking all this time? I’m glad to see them back, anyway.
For a while, I wandered off to a local newspaper-based board, and I’ve been keeping the wackos at bay with a whip and a chair. I’m not sure if that’s rewarding or not.
The root is a combination of “geology” and “babe”.
ETA: I see I’m still a “guest” after paying to post for one year, then lapsing.

I usually don’t have very much to say. I could contribute more, but i always get beaten to the answers in QG where i am mostly.
I’ve been gone a few months. I renewed, posted one thread about my new kitten, then *poof. * I got really busy, and didn’t even have time to lurk. I popped in last week and found out about the free posting. I’m hanging around now to see who all is going to come back.
Yup. Same with me. Paid for a year, then left, an unexpected gift subscription notwithstanding, and am now an 8-year-old guest (with a post count probably in the 16,000s, but not visible yet).

Yeah, what he said. At my college, the nickname for the Geology majors was “Geobabe”, which I thought was cute, so I adopted it as my screen name here. I’ve thought about changing it, but can’t think of anything I like better, plus I’ve had it for so long now.
About 1.3 million posts were removed over the years to save space, but they’ve now been restored and I’m sure they’d be included in your post count.
