Where in the registry can I enable active X ??

I’ve searched Technet to no avail. Does any of our Tech gurus know how to do this without me ballsing up my comp?

Thx

Well, just out of curiousity I did a Google search under “enable Active X”, and this completely irrelevant website came up, which says, down at the bottom:

There’s also http://www.audiopsych.com/help/faq.htm

Does that help? Or are you talking about serious computer hacker stuff involving the total dismantling of the RegEdit file? Whenever my children ask me, “Mom, can we play with the RegEdit?” I always tell them “no”.

You haven’t provided enough information. Why do you think you need to do this? What problem are you trying to solve? I think Duck Duck Goose has the answer you’re looking for. If your security settings are too high, unsigned ActiveX controls will not function in your web browser.

ActiveX is a broad term for a variety of COM-based technologies, not simply ActiveX controls. It’s an integral part of your Windows-based operating system and can’t be turned on or off. If you need to edit the settings for a particular ActiveX control, search for either the ProgID or CLSID under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.

My security settings on my web browser are greyed out.

I’ve been told how to do it by somebody who works here and read this.

Thx all.
