Where is the mustard applied?

brown with horseradish for that increased pungentisity.

No, no, no. You have it backwards. Filets and other steaks can be cooked to the eater’s personal preference, which may or may not be optimal for others (or for that cut of meat.) Hots dogs, OTOH, must be served, condimented and eaten according to strict, approved moral guidelines lest the consumer fall prey to Sloth, Indolence and Moral Degradation.

Exactly - Mustard can be of any type base on personal preference. Coney dogs and Chicago style are acceptable variants. Ketchup is not in the approved guidelines, violators can be forced to do penance or community service to atone for the error of their ways. Someone mentioned mayo somewhere up-thread - deviants like this must be dealt with harshly.

Put the whipped cream on her buns and she puts it on your wiener. That is the whipped cream, nut the mustard.

QFT.

When you put it on top of the the wiener, you get pieces of mustard covered onions falling out when you try to eat it. The wiener is the cap that secures the condiments into the bun.

nut the mustard.
Okay, glad I’m taking notes.

Between the banana slices and the cilantro, which go on top of the dog under the hot fudge.

Excuse me, I’m sick.

C’mon, is it any worse than putting mayo on a dog?

You can put Pepto-Bismol on the bun if it helps, although purists would disagree.

…oh G-d I hope I don’t throw up on my shoes…

Certainly no worse than chunky PB with sriracha, which is actually quite good on a fried dog.

Yes you did Quimby. And look at the results!

I thought this thread was about mustard plasters.

Mayonnaise goes on the bun. Lines of ketchup & mustard goes on the hotdog. Finish with chopped onions & a sprinkle of black pepper.

On the bun and on the dog. I like a lot of mustard.

Well I happen to know his wife hates mustard, but with a hot dog a tiny bit is more than enough. So I run a thin line along the bun and then put the hot dog in the bun. Actually I don’t like hot dogs either, Smokies or brots suit me with that thin line of mustard.

I agree with what you’ve said. But I also like ketchup on my scrambled eggs.

On the dog so the onions can stick to it.

On the wiener, to converse mustard.

Hot dog snobs deserve to be laughed at by everyone.
