Where is your TV?

Media room (family room): 57 inch HD set
Den: 53 inch standard def set
Master BR: 32 inch set
Daughter’s BR: 21 inch set (setup only for games)
Kitchen: 13 inch set

Plus Slingbox to stream TV to all computers in the house including the laptops via wireless, so we can basically have TV anywhere.

Yes, we are doomed.

Jammer

One in the living room
One as a TV card in the computer

That’s all, but both do have their own feed from the satellite dish.

Family room, visible from the kitchen.
Master bedroom wall, for easy watching in bed.
Basement workshop on a raised shelf, visible from the workbench.

Two people, 3 TVs - it works.

One in the living room and one in one bedroom.

Are you me???

In the basement den. I guess we’re one of the OP’s small minority who tuck the TV away somewhere private.

HD set in the living room
32 SD set in the Master Bedroom
19 inch set in the Guest room
19 inch set in my daughter’s room
27 inch in the Mother-in-law suite living room
13 inch set in the Mother-in-law suite bedroom
17 inch set in the garage exercise room

We have 4 DVR’s in the house set up to run the signals to different places. The 13 inch set in the MIL’s bedroom displays whatever is sent from the DVR in the MIL’s sitting room, which also feeds into the HD set in the living room. Same with the guest room/daughter’s room. We can Tivo a bunch of kids shows, and show them in her room. But she can’t watch anything other than that.

Two people and two TV sets. Granted, one of them is really old and is a 13". I keep it upstairs in the bedroom, it’s good for porn or Nintendo. (Which I guess is a different kind of porn.)

Our main TV is downstairs in the living room.

Living room. In Spain that’s not considered a “public room”: many homes have a “sala de estar” or “salita” (living room) and a salón (visits living room). I only have one but I don’t get any visits anyway (friends and family don’t count). At many of my homes I haven’t even had a TV.

At Mom’s it’s in the salón, but then, her salón is a raw field compared with the formality and/or amount of tchotchkes most of her neighbors have.

Middlebro has one in the salón and one in his FiL’s room (FiL has ALS). His MiL’s suggestion of buying one for the kitchen and another for the upper floor’s living room was met with a blinking stare by the almost-fainting son-in-law. SiL says she still doesn’t understand where her mother came up with that, since in their house it’s always been one single TV and in the salita.

My TV is in the kitchen on the counter. Small set, no cable, used to watch CSI-type shows while I fight with the rabbit ears because I have, like, no reception. No TV anywhere else. It’s all good.

Living Room (most used) - 37" HD LCD
Games Room - 26" HD LCD used for modern console gaming only
Kitchen - 14" CRT used for DVD’s only
Study - 14" CRT mostly used for listening to while on PC/Laptop
Conservatory - 20" old CRT with inbuilt VHS player used for VHS only as it’s the only player we have in the house.
Master Bedroom - 23" HD LCD
Guest bedroom - 28" CRT used for DVD’s and retro console gaming.

The only rooms without a TV are the dining room and my daughters room (but as she’s only 5 weeks old I don’t think I’ll need one for quite a while yet).

One in the living room, one in the master bedroom, and as of Aug 9th (when Kiddo turns 9) there will be one in his room.

I have a 25" TV in the living room (along with my DVD player, TiVo, and analog cable), and there’s a 13" TV/VCR in the bedroom.

Until a few months ago the TV/VCR was in the computer room and I had another 25" TV in the bedroom, but I gave that one to my boyfriend for his bedroom. I hardly ever watched TV in the computer room, I mostly just used it to record shows before I got TiVo, so I only really “need” 2 sets. Soon, though, the 13" TV/VCR will become either a 20" TV/VCR/DVD or a 20" TV/DVD – and then the TV/VCR will go to my mom’s for her guest room.

This is what we have, too, except the screen isn’t so easy to “disappear”, being the kind that comes up from the floor, on a stand. We will be getting the pull-down kind, though.

I wish I had a separate family room and living room, but I don’t. If I did, the tv would be in the family room and I could go into the living room to talk on the phone or just be somewhere away from the tv.

And we have one in the bedroom, which is seldom watched. Basically only if I’m in there working on something, or if I turn it on in the morning to check the weather. It’s also up on a stand in the corner, though.

Living room, far corner.

We’re a TV-free household, but do have four computers: two in our bedroom, one in the living room, and one laptop. Plus one of those little portable ones. We watch lots of DVDs!

We have one, decent but starting to fail TV (its’ fallen out of the entertainment center twice…). It is about 27, maybe 29". I don’t recall.

It is in our living room, and is used to watch movies and Cable TV. I also use it to play my new 360.

I am looking for another one to go into the playroom, where I will hook up the old Xbox. But I don’t want to spend money on something that’s new, so… yeah.

Any of you folks with 47 TV’s care to sell cheap? Hehehe

Wide screen in the living room, one in hubby’s and my bedroom, one in my Dad’s study. (Dad moved in with us about 1-1/2 years ago. It’s great! He is all set up with a DVD player, stereo, and large TV - and headphones 'cuz he’s pretty deaf. He didn’t even know about closed captioning until I showed him! We’re all happy.)

Living room- 36inch set (50% of all viewing)
Master Bedroom- 20 inch (20% of all viewing)
Office- No television set but I have WINTV with full cable stations on my computer and watch while I work/surf (25% of all viewing)
Rec Room- 24 inch set. 5% of all viewing

Guest room #1 13 inch set.
Guest room #2 (formerly my youngest sons room) 24 inch set
Car- Portable set. Rarely use it.

We don’t have a set in either of the bathrooms, but we did in our old house. I had it built into the wall. I’ve been thinking about doing that here but just never got around to it.
