My husband (25) and I (23) want to be wild and crazy kids and go on an unbelievable trip to anywhere in the world. We can’t decide where to go and we have 2 weeks available.
We’d really rather not go to Europe. My husband is from Spain so we have that available for the rest of our lives.
My basic thinking for this trip is to do something that we won’t be able to do once we have real jobs and kids.
So, where should we go???
Fairly open. We’re likely going to be staying in cheap hotels so the only bad thing will be airfare. Hoping for less than $1500 for tickets per person but could stretch it a bit.
You could come to Sydney and enjoy the delights of our worst month, February. Stinking hot (yesterday it was 38C) and humid.
Lake Tahoe! Go skiing, gamble, do a little “swinging”, hire someone to take you waterskiing and off-roading (cough, cough, the Jeep is running lately) in the snow and generally debauch!
Come on!
Rio
I have never been there, but everyone I know that has been there loved it.
I had the best time in Vietnam, it’s a totally addictive place - went there in 2003. But it’s already heaps more touristy this year according to a friend, so that’s a place that it would be good to go to now, as it will never be the same. Combine it with Cambodia and Laos for an amazing 2-3 month trip.
Oops, I should have mentioned this, but we have to go in August. It’s the only month I don’t have classes and can get away without seeing clients.
Vietnam could be interesting…
