Where the hell have I heard Sister Christian before?

I just heard the song Sister Christian by Night Ranger, and although I can’t swear I’ve heard the original ballad before I can swear that somewhere I heard a cover version of it.

I remember hearing a young girl (possibly very young) singer the chorus to that song (Motorrin! what’s your price to fly?..) It might have been a commercial, a Radio Disney cover version, a theme song to a kid’s t.v. show… I can’t recall, but the Wikipedia page’s lists of places that song has appeared doesn’t answer it.

Can anyone tell me where the hell I heard a young girl singing the chorus to Sister Christian?

I’ve listened to the Glee version already, that’s not it.

I’m talking about someone- specifically, I think, a very young girl (anywhere from 10-18 I’d guess) singing only the chorus, as a theme song or something.

Nope, none of those are it.

I think it was a car commercial; it could’ve also been a movie trailer, or a t.v. show promo- the kind of ads that we no longer have record of.

And I thought I distinctly remembered hearing it sung by a young girl (10-17 I’d say).

Definitely. P.T. Anderson did a great job using music in Boogie Nights.

See guys, I TOLD you I remembered a little girl singing that chorus (or rather, a parody of it with different lyrics).

And to think this whole mystery got started when I was watching Easy A last night and Aly Michalka calls Amanda Bynes ‘Sister Christian’ and I googled it.

Turns out the song was also used in a laughable Best Buy commercial a few years ago (youtube it).

Also, youtube the parody of that commercial.
