I’m going to HCM city next week for a work off site and just so happen that I’m about out of fresh roasted coffee. Viet Nam grows a lot of coffee, so I’m thinking I should be able to pick up some nice stuff there, no?
Not into trying the civet coffee thing either.
Is it worth visiting a coffee plantation - I’ve never been to one.
Pretty sure you can buy the stuff anywhere. Bear in mind though, that it’s likely to be the local style, which I find a bit too mild and chocolatey for my taste. For some reason, drinking coffee in Vietnam is heavenly, but trying to use the beans yourself at home never works quite right.
I have no idea how easy it is to buy any of the common international blends. The Vietnamese drink a lot of coffee, but it always seems to be that same local style (or at least it was when I was last there in 2000).
