Any recommendations as to the best ‘entry point’ for Who frontman Roger Daltrey’s solo career?
I guess I’ll try…
I only had “One of the Boys” (at least I think thats the title). It had a great song called Avenging Annie. You could start there.
“Ride A Rock Horse” is good mid 70’s pop, with a great version of “Come and Get Your Love”. “Under A Raging Moon” is a little more MOR-sih (gak! Bryan Adams songs!) but has a FANTASTIC Pete Twonshend confessional called “After the Fire” on it.

If you want to buy just one disc, Roger Daltrey:Anthology is probably the best choice.
McVicar is an odd case. It was listed as a Daltrey album, but all the Who played on it. None of the Who wrote the music, though, and maybe that’s why it wasn’t called a Who album.
Musically, it’s pretty good. It’s a movie soundtrack. I recorded the movie late at night a few weeks ago, and I haven’t seen it yet.
