Where were you in '62?

I wasn’t born yet. I think my mommy was 10.

My parents were a 4 years younger then than I am now. I didn’t show up until the very end of the Bicentennial year. Okay, math geeks, how old are my parents now?

Big Daddy D writes:

Sheesh! I graduated from college in the bicentennial year. I even have a letter from Gerald Ford congratulating me for being a member of a bicentennial graduating class. Grabbing a bottle of Geritol and a tube of Ben-Gay and going off to get a “senior high”.

My parents were 15. I was born 20 years later.

Dad was 17, mom was 16. I was two years away from being born.

Just curious, IMWOMAN, why 1962?

Sorry, but I wasn’t around in '62.

But.
With the sequential thread title I just saw, I can tell you where Parisx was.

Where were you in '62?
I was peeing in Denny’s
Lord, that’s funny.

In the last months of 1962 I was in my mothers stomach,
got borned in June of 1963.

I was born Valentine’s Day 1962.

Eve - I may be wrong, but I think “Where were you in ‘62” came from American Graffiti. Maybe.

Hell, I did drugs in High School ( they don’t call it High School for nothing. :D) and college and I STILL remember every goddamn minute of my life.

I have a memory that is from my infancy- age of approximately 9 months. I told my mother what I could see, and she went pale and explained why I couldn’t have even been a year old.

Oh, I was born in July 1962 so I was alternately squirming In Utero or squirming Ex Utero.

Cartooniverse

In 1962, I was 5 days away from my 4th birthday, praying real hard for a certain red tricycle (which I got, but became very frustrated with, because no matter how hard you pedal, tricycles do NOT work in Loco Hills, New Mexico sand.)
I’d give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

I became a tax deduction in February, 1962.

Crawling and drooling mostly. I didn’t turn one until mid '62. Diane, you are correct dear lady, that was the tagline to American Graffiti.

i also was not born yet. My mom was 14, i didn’t show up til 16 years later!

I was in CA., and a Freshman in HS. I came to the realization that I hated math, but I liked being in the marching band. I thought the 1962 Stude GT Hawk, and a girl named Deborah were the two prettiest things on earth, and I wanted them both big time. I had a PT job working at an egg producing chicken ranch. It was a good year.

Deborah and I did date in 1980, she was still just as pretty, but it just wasn’t the same. And that '62 Stude? Well, I finally got one a couple of years ago. Still think it is beautiful.

Class of '80 Rocks!!! (Doing head banging motion, while holding lighter above my head)

I was born in February of that year!

Arden Ranger and I went to different high schools together!

February 19, 1962 here.

Well, I may not be thrilled to be quite this old…but I guess I prefer it to the alternative…

In '62, I was a sophomore in high school and desperate to get laid. Considering that it was an all-male high school, my chances were not good.

I might feel out of place with all you children, but luckily I have an emotional age of about 12.

Dang, lots of us Feb 1962’ers. Where’s UncleBeer?

I am very proud of myself that I actually remembered! By the looks of some of the ages here, a lot of Dopers weren’t even born the last time I saw American Graffiti.

I was born in 61, so I was probably drooling a lot and pooping my pants.

Not much has changed, I don’t drool anymore.
