Ok, so foolsguinea, who thinks the Dems should have nominated Ralph Nader back in 2000 because he’s a great American, now wants to support an independent bid by someone who is more conservative than Hillary and who has kind words for Donald Trump.
She’s also a vocal supporter of Sanders.
This doesn’t appear to be policy-focused positioning.
Depends on what matters to you. Webb is less hawkish than Clinton, and is more of a blue collar supporting pol, as opposed to Clinton’s Wall Street connections.
I remember now why I wrote him off early on. I hate King Coal.
But yeah, adaher gets it. Webb seems more sympathetic to service personnel and the working class, and is not so hawkish. It’s “might” not “would,” and the coal industry ties make it less likely; but as a Bernie or Bust voter, yeah, Webb sounds pretty good right now.
He has already switched over once.
