Where's our next Political Intrigue fix coming from?

This year so far we’ve watched, on DVD:

Game of Thrones series 1, 2 and 3
House of Cards (UK) all 3 series
House of Cards (US) all 2 series
The White Queen
The Borgias all 3 series
**Sherlock **all 3 series
The Tudors all 4 series
**Rome **all 2 series
I’ve just ordered **Newsroom **(only series 1 available on DVD it seems)

But what else is there along those lines? The Belgian series **Salamander **looked interesting but isn’t available from my DVD provider (Quickflix).

Thanks for any and all suggestions!

Well, that sank quickly …

… anyway, if anyone from the future ever finds this buried artefact, I found a couple of candidates at the end of this thread

Specifically The Americans and Damages.

Agents of Sheild

The Blacklist

‘The Americans’ is good, plenty of Cold War drama, seconding.

‘Homeland’ has lots of political intrigue.

Scandal. Trust me.

Time to go back to The West Wing again?

If you don’t mind subtitles, I’ve heard good things about this: Borgen (TV series) - Wikipedia

And check out the Cold War-themed A Very British Coup: A Very British Coup - Wikipedia

I love Jeffrey Archer’s British political thriller First Among Equals, but the TV adaptation was bleh.

Thanks all, the queue is now ridiculously long! Scandal and Borgen added too. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen A Very British Coup when it was released, but the “remake” State Secret sounded good - sadly Qucikflix don’t have it.

State of Play.

Seconding Scandal and Homeland.
