Two things happen on Wednesdays: the new The Onion edition comes out and ESPN.com has their weekly baseball Power Alley rankings.

The Onion is kind enough to post their newest edition on Tuesday night. ESPN likes to wait until Wednesday afternoon to post their new rankings. No big deal, I can wait a few extra hours to see the good ol’ boys back on top again, and to read the witty comments. Well folks it’s Thursday night and there’s no new Power Alley!

This isn’t exactly unprecedented for ESPN. They were quite slow on some of their updates for the NBA and NHL versions this year as well. I imagine when things get busy, actual news stories take precedence over subjective (but fun to read) rankings.
