Which candidate would make the worst president?

Bachmann. I can see Paul being kinda like Alan Greenspan–grudgingly accepting that the tools of institutions must be used in the market as it exists. Bachmann is just out there. I’ve known a lot of people like her–good at getting people on their side, but absolutely incapable of getting things done. Behind every Bachmann there are always five or six people cleaning up the mess.

I realize that the Presidency is the most delegated job in the world, but damn, that woman would fuck it up royal.

Perry, Bachmann, and Palin are a group taking ignorance to a brand spanking new level that should embarrass all Americans. Conservatives should run hard away from them. They will sink the party .They should. The right wing deserves ridicule for the class of politicians they are trying to foist on the country.

Because we’re fighting ignorance.

So, fight my ignorance. What about 'em?

My nightmare is that President Obama is reelected and then assassinated. Joe Biden strikes as the man most likely to start World War III and lose.

There are a lot of nasty things you could say about Joe Biden with a reasonable amount of veracity, but I don’t get this one at all. Expliquez, s’il vous plait.

There are no declared Democratic challengers that I’m aware of. Were you thinking of anyone specific?

I imagine there are a few fringe candidates who’ve officially declared, as there are in every election, but no one likely to pose a serious challenge.

sorry, doublepost.

I’ve no idea - I’m entirely ignorant on the matter.

In that case, let’s have a look:

That’s pretty much it. Yawn.

Presidents don’t create jobs…private businesses do. Obama has done more to scare off investment by private business than any president ever has. Companies right now are sitting one tons of money but will not invest it in growing their companies because of the uncertainty that this president has left them with: how much is Obamacare gonna cost them? What new regulations will be added to the already burdensome regulations that are strangling businesses?

Obama is the most anti-business president this country has ever seen. Businesses are just waiting him out right now. He needs to go.

Yeesh. Really? Do you really think this?

Not really the case. Businesses hire when there’s an apparent sustained increase in demand. If businesses based their hiring decisions on political uncertainties years on the horizon, they’d never hire anyone, regardless of who’s in the white house.

It doesn’t matter what I think. I don’t hire people. But these guys do and here’s what they have to say about it.

I’m going with Perry. His election would open the door to a theocracy. Read my post in the Rick Perry for President thread to learn more about who supports him. does New Apostolic Reformation mean anything to you?

Don’t forget Lyndon LaRouche, who runs for president every chance he gets. The guy is a total nutcase though.

I was implying he has a huge case of foot in mouth disease. I don’t want him dealing with foreign leaders. I’d be a lot more comfortable if Biden was replaced by Hillary Clinton on the 2012 ticket.

It appears that the plutocrats are holding the nation’s economy hostage until they get a president who will be (more of) their bitch. Heartwarming.

Dude, step away from the partisan blogs. I could link to some quotes by Soros or some Silicon Valley CEO about how President Obama is the best thing since sliced bread, but that would not make it true. I am not going to take the time to educate you on the causes for the current downturn, but I will say that it’s not Obamacare, it’s not Obama, and it ain’t even Bush. You sound like a partisan whackjob…
