Which cartoon voice do you wish you could pull off?

Stewie from Family Guy. Mr. Kat and I have long been convinced that should we ever lose our minds completely and spawn, we’d have a Stewie.

It’s really not your wandering mind that should bring you concern.

Morbo from Futurama! I want!

“I WILL DESTROY YOU!!!”

meatwad. It’s so hard to do. take the meat bridge! it’s right there!

I came in here to post that meatwad is the only voice my husband can’t do. And I love that voice so much.

I can do a pretty good Riley from The Boondocks, but I can’t do Huey, even though the voices are fairly close and done by the same actress.

The first “true” expansion for Guild Wars, Eye of the North features this voice actor. (Vekk, the odd little floppy eared creature, keep watching he’ll come in. Also, I don’t think the Norn, Jora is unlikeable at all.)

Yyyyes! I’d be embarrassed to admit how much time I’ve devoted to trying to get that one little word to sound like him! The irony is that students who watch the cartoon tell me all the time I sound just like Brain, except I can’t do his signature syllable! :smack:

Oy, life is hard.

HOLY CRAP! I just looked up the voice actor for Pinky on Wikipedia, Maurice LaMarche. Look at all the various characters voices he has done! Wow!

Well since y’all’ve beaten me to Cobra Commander, I’ll have to go with my backup choice: Paul Frees’ voice for…oh, hell, just the “default” Paul Frees voice. I’d be like a walking Rankin-Bass special (plus, I’m pretty sure that the chicks would really go for it).

Come to think of it, though, I’m told I did do a perfect version of Mickey Mouse’s voice, on one single occasion. I forget the reason, but I was making a John Wilkes Booth joke—“Useless, useless…huh-ha!

Maurice hosts some interviews with the cast and crew on the Animaniacs complete series DVD collections. They’re great extras, you should look out for them.

I can do various Simpsons voices, especially characters like Mr Burns and Smithers, though as I get older I’m getting less adept at it I think… but I’d love to be able to do Bart or Homer. Bart is particularly difficult, because Nancy Cartwright’s natural voice is quite unique, though not as distinctive as Yeardley Smith’s I suppose.

I can do Dr. Weird from ATHF, but it’s really loud and shakes the walls. I can’t do Meatwad at all. My voice sounds even more retarded than his. (Can’t believe Meatwad and Carl are done by the same guy) I’d love to be able to do Master Shake as well, but I think you have to be an uptight Jew first.

I also would like to be able to do Boris Badanov from Bullwinkle, and Popeye’s chuckle. I can do a really convincing Swing Blade (not a cartoon character but may as well be) that scares people.

Shake is impossible since that’s really more like someones normal speaking voice, but Meatwad and Carl are easy. Meatwad is really just like doing Howie Mandel’s Bobby. You just close your throat and talk through your nose.

Everything I say would be better in the voice of Zap Brannigan. But alas, it is not to be. I’m more like Kif.

The secret to a good Zap is the superfluous syllable at the end of anything important. For instance:

“All hail Hypno-Toadduh.”

I’ve been told that I do a pretty good Cartman, but it only happens when I’m not thinking about doing the voice at all. If I actually try to sound like Cartman, it ends up nothing like. So yeah, I’d like to be able to do Cartman on command, not just when I don’t want to do Cartman.

I’m also something of an amature voice artist, (I even attended a voice-over seminar taught by Maurce LaMarche and June Foray once!) unfortunately, I have not been able to nail Brain as yet. Maurice says he modelled the voice based on his Orson Welles impression, it’s those bass tones that stump me.

and on that note, all the Gary Owens charactor voices (Space Ghost, Blue Falcon, Powdered Toast Man…) I do are more impressions than actual copies, it’s those darn low tones, DAMMIT!
“…meanwhile, back at the Hall of Justice…”

::sigh:: Yes sir.

I do a passable Chumley (“Duh…gee, Tennethee!”), and can do the Mel Blanc dumb characters, similar to the Puma mentioned upthread (“Which way did he go, which way did he go? Which way did that little bunny rabbit I saw on TV last week go?” and “I can’t say Sylvester, George!”). The one I’d really like to do is Foghorn Leghorn.

I can do a pretty dead-on Luann Cartman, and a passable Cartman, and Mr. Slave. I’d love to be able to do Brain, but I’ll have to settle for Pinky. Narf!
