Which celebrity, male and female, would you choose to have as a sibling? In other words, someone you would have grown up with. The only rule: The celebrity can be no more than ten years older or younger than you.
My choices: Male – Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He seems pretty down-to-earth for a celebrity.
Female – Jessica Simpson. Despite her reputation as a ditz, she seems like she would be a very loving older sister.
Male: I would like to have either Simon Cowell or George Clooney as a brother. Both are good looking, witty, and interesting. We look forward to spending time together, talking for hours about celebrities and show biz, on one of the many extravagant family vacations Simon (or George) treats us to on a regular basis. If only either of those boys would settle down!
Female: I think Sandra Bullock, she seems very down to earth and non-diva like. Or Patricia Arquette. No reason, except I really really love her on ‘Medium’.
Not trying to imitate salinqmind but Sandra Bullock (fraternal twin) came instantly to mind when I read the title.
Older brother: Jim Henson.
I have a real older brother who is 11 years older than me but fortunately his celebrity twin is only 6 years older than me so he fits the criteria for this thread. The celebrity is a redhead like all my siblings and I grew up watching him on tv and he and afore-mentioned brother look even more alike as they get older, so I have always felt a sibling type affection for Ron Howard.
I think I’d want Ellen DeGeneres as my sister. Fun, generous and loves animals.
Based on his physical similarity and his general demeanor I’d say that James Belushi would be a good older brother for me. Unfortunately, he’s a few years (4) too old for that according to your rules Soul.

For a sister, I’d choose Helen Hunt. She just seems like she’d be a really cool older sister.
For a brother… that’s difficult. Probably Adam Sandler.
