Henry Thomas is ALWAYS Elliot.
Hugo Weaving will always be Agent Smith. First time I saw him in FOTR I kept waiting for him to say “Mr. Baggins” after every line.
Although he plays every role brialliantly, every time I see Jack Nicholson smile, I am reminded that he is and always will be The Joker.
Whenever I see Ron Livingston I always refer to him as * Office Space *
The police chief on Monk seems out of place, what with him being in Silence of the Lambs and all. Ruined forever!
Angelina Jolie is Lara Croft - she is what I thought she would be.
Val Kilmer will always be Iceman from Top Gun.
Though I respect Geoffrey Rush a great deal and I think he’s an amazing actor in general, even since I saw Quills I always think of him as the Marquis de Sade. His performance in that was so perfect, and he obviously enjoyed it… it’s just unforgettable.
bernse, I also had that moment in ST: Generations. In fact, as I recall, several members of the audience yelled out “Cameron!” when he appeared. Or maybe that was just me…
Wow Stoid. 11 hour double post. Is that some kind of record?
Anyways, I totally agree with Hugo Weaving. Poor guy. type cast after only one movie.
Also After Forrest Gump, I had trouble watching Apollo 13. I kept expecting gump antics. It was weird.
my 2 c
Gregory Peck - Abraham Lincoln
Forest Whitaker - Guy who hustled fast eddie in the color of money
Christopher Reeve - Superman
Mark Hamil - Luke Skywalker, rest of the cast as well
Al Pacino - Micheal Corleone
James Gandolfini is Tony Soprano. Everytime I see him anything else he’s just tony to me. Hell, its like that with alot of TV characters.
Madonna- always expect her to suck in her role and I’ve never been disappointed.
When I saw Ned Beatty in Homicide, it was always difficult to forget about Ned Beatty in Deliverance.
You have the right to squeal like a pig!
Oddly, I keep waiting to see Agent Smith wearing elf ears.
pierce brosnan had always been james bond, even before he is 007…
I disagree. Val Kilmer will always be Jim Morrison from “The Doors” to me, even though he put his stamp on Doc Holliday in “Tombstone”…it’s still Mr. Mojo Risin’ in a cowboy hat in my opinion.
Martin Sheen will always be Capt. Williard from “Apocalypse Now”.
Mike Meyers will always be Austin Powers.
Sean Penn will always be Jeff Spicoli from “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”
I said earlier that somebody would trigger my memory. It was of Ned Beatty. No way he’ll ever outlive the shame of Deliverance inspite of excellent acting abilities and role choices. No way.
Harrison Ford will always be Indiana Jones (even when he’s Han Solo)
I second that Cameron Diaz is always Cameron Diaz the celebrity before her character, and also that Kelsey Grammer makes me think of Side Show Bob.
Kate Winslet will always be Marianne from * Sense and Sensibility*
Robert De Niro is always Travis from * Taxi Driver *
All of the * Friends* and all of the Dawson’s Creek charachters will be just that except for Jennifer Aniston who is just Jennifer Aniston the celebrity.
Julie Andrews will always be Maria from The Sound of Music and Gene Wilder will always be Willy Wonka.
Judi Dench will always be Judi Dench the actress, Emma Thompson will always be Emma Thompson the actress, and Helena Bonham Carter will always be the main character (forgotten the name) in * A Room with a View *
The list goes on…
Christian Bale will always be Patrick Bateman from American Psysho
Malcolm McDowell will always be Alex from A Clockwork Orange.
Laurence Olivier will always be Dr. Szell from Marathon Man
