Which Civil War general are you? (A quiz)

No one’s come up with Nathan Bedford Forrest yet, eh? My brother said he put that one in there.

Holy crap, I got Sherman! I’ll have to turn in my Southerner card now! I’ll miss the 2-for-1 mint juleps.

And the rising again:

Phil Sheridan, it says, a hot headed little Irishman. Not what I expected. I figured George Thomas, “Old Slow Trot” and “the Rock of Chickamauga,” or maybe James Birdseye McPherson. Sheridan’s not too bad, though. Could be worse, could be George Custer. Here’s what the quiz says about Little Phil:

Philip Sheridan: Sheridan was a man you never wanted to get on the wrong side of. Headstrong and stubborn, he attacked his foes with a relentless determination that wore them down. Widely regarded as the best Union Cavalry general in the war. After the war, he served as a reconstruction governor and had to be removed for being to harsh. Once rallied his retreating troops by saying “Damn you, don’t you cheer me! Get back to the front!”

I’m Sherman too.

If it was a possibility, I was hoping for Sedgwick, a relation, because I don’t think they could’ve hit an elephant at that dist

Sheridan here. Again.

Search not any further, Interrobang!?, for I got Forrest.

What? I am “Braxton Bragg: An obscure and forgotten general who nobody liked much anyway.” Wow, that’s harsh!

Just kidding. I was Grant.

Good one, Nemo.

I’m another Robert E.

I came out as McClellan. I can sorta see how that makes sense…

I’m Grant? I CAN’T BE GRANT!!! I’M NOT DRUNK ENOUGH YET, DAMMIT!!! Lemme get a couple shots in me and I’ll be Grant enough for everyone and then some.

I’m Lee. But I could tell which answers were “Lee” answers, so I think that might have tainted the result, since I think Lee was one of the most personally honorable Civil War generals.

Another Lee here. One day i’ll get round to making one of these things for British generals.

Another Grant here.

I am General Winfield Scott (I spent the whole war in Washington-they had a good tavern across the street from my office at the War Department). Anyway, I was too fat to fit into a saddle!

John Bell Hood! I didn’t take the quiz! I didn’t have TIME to take it! I had to answer RIGHT AWAY and I will KEEP ANSWERING until I’m surrounded by a PILE OF DEAD YANKEES.

(snork) I like seal cleaners best so far. I got Sherman, too, but I suspect that I’m really more like “Spoons” Butler, whom the Southern ladies spit upon.

Aside from breaking his oath to the Federal government, that is.

Grant wasn’t a drunk and Lee is overrated. Jackson is very underrated, even though he was weird - the Confederacy would have done better if he had had Lee’s job. Sherman was a good general but a war criminal.

I ended up as Lee.

Good one…
