Well, it makes sense. McClellan probably did more to keep the Confederacy in the game as long as it was than anyone besides Lee.

Not much of a surprise to me really - I grew up in a military family. - My grandfather and father were both WW II vets and my uncle was a vet of both Korea and Vietnam.
My grandfather in particular, took great pains to make my views of “War and the glory thereof” real ones.
