Which day does God rest on?

If God rested on the seventh day, does that mean that he still does this? If so, does that mean if we can figure out which day he rests, we can do whatever we want on that day and not be punished?

Do you mind if I use this thread title as a classic example of why we must (almost) never end a sentence in a preposition?

When it says that G-d “rested,” it merely means he refrained from creating any more new kinds of things. It does not mean that he “went to sleep” or that he refrained from all activity.

Is this an exception, then?

And a good thing, too. What if God snored? How loud would it be? Who would have the guts to try to get Him to roll over on His side?

It’s what day did he rest. Not, what day does he rest.

On any day he wants to!

Omnipotence means never having to ask permission.

Errant nonsense, up with which I shall not put.
