Hmm. If Death, rather than Susan, can be said to be the main character in ‘Soul Music’ and ‘Hogfather’ then he is also the main character in ‘Thief of Time’. He has about the same importance in all novels. Basically they are Susan books with the occasional reference to what Death is doing elsewhere. Death then rides in for the dramatic finale.
