Which is more outrageous?

Which is more outrageous - shooting down a highway at 190 mph on a motorcycle (including zipping between two cars when both lines are occupied) or proclaiming your support for the stunt?

You didn’t misread. The guy I’m talking about was going 300 km/h which in the land of the free is just a tad below 190 mph, or should I say 190 fmph, as in 190 fucking miles per hour!

If you haven’t seen it, here is the YouTube link. After you finish cursing the driver (for jeopardizing the safety of the sane drivers, if nothing else), take a gander at some of the comments (and at the ‘thumbs up’ vs ‘thumbs down’ tally which is far too close to being balanced).

A dickhead lauded by assholes.

If it assuages your RO, do realize that even at these kinds of speeds, rear-ending a car (or better yet, a truck) would only cause grievous damage to his ride and a benign case of gory death spread over a quarter mile of asphalt.

So there’s that.

The guy is such a loser, he can’t even compete for the Darwin Awards competently!

Wait a minute… Are you saying there’s idiot comments on Youtube videos? Dear God…

That guy is just rolling the dice that one of those cars doesn’t decide to start changing lanes when he is but a speck in their rearview mirror.

Around here, I regularly see worse behavior. How is that possible, you ask? At night they like to do similar speeds on the turnpike, BUT WITH ALL THEIR LIGHTS OFF. So you’ll be driving down the highway, and all of a sudden nothing but a loud sound and shadow whip past you until you catch a brief glimpse of them in your headlights. My heart has leapt into my throat from that shit a few times.

Jem. Jem is truly outrageous.
Otherwise, do you really thing that commenting on things makes someone worse than the person doing them? Especially when they are on Youtube comments, where otherwise normal people become fucktards.

This video is a huge newsmaker in Victoria now. It stunned me when I saw it. The reason being not only the driving stunt that the person pulled, but the fact that this is my route to and from work five days a week. That could have been me he was passing.

I saw a video of a motorcyclist doing something very similar in Moscow. But I don’t know Moscow. I do know this stretch of highway. Seeing this on a road I know so well just really made it all the more appalling. It takes me 10-15 minutes to drive what he did in under 2 minutes.

What if someone was changing lanes? They do that, of course, and people don’t always signal, and they don’t always do it gradually. My god. All it would take is one tiny error, one lane change, one unexpected thing, and that motorcycle would have caused how many other vehicles to crash?

I’m actually surprised the video is still on YouTube, actually.

To answer your question, the person doing the actual life-endangering is the most outrageous. Which isn’t to say that the supporters aren’t terrible people.

Car doing 70, rear-ended by a bike doing 190? The bike hits the rear of the car with a delta of 120 MPH; there’s a very strong likelihood that occupants of the car will be injured or killed by the debris (bike and biker parts) that penetrate the rear window.

Thats total bullshit. I have seen speeding motorcycles practically cut a car in half. F=MA. There may not be a lot of M but there still is a lot of A. Hitting a commercial truck even at those speeds would cause less damage to the truck of course. A motorcycle going those speeds certainly is a danger to others as well as himself.

If you think a bike can’t destroy a car then see this example. I’ve seen plenty of others as well.

These kinds of people piss me, as a motorcycle ride, the fuck off. I don’t go faster then traffic, I don’t do stupid shit and yet people still think of dickheads like that when I tell them I ride a motorcycle.

So a hearty fuck you to all those dicks that ride like that, and all the other jackass bike riders, you give the rest of us a bad name.

You know, the alleged reason we keep murderers in jail is not for revenge but to keep them from endangering the public any further.

Ya think this pinhead is “endangering the public?”

So am I the only one who thinks this would make an excellent Wii Fit game?

Meh, I guess I’ll stick with Downhill Slolom.

Hilarious. They’ve traced the IP address of whoever uploaded the video. Even if they can’t arrest “Joe Blow” for this one because they can’t prove it was him on the bike, he can’t do this again because they’ll be pull him over as soon as he does 5 over the speed limit.

People who post videos of themselves breaking the law are the dumbest of the dumb.

I’ve reached a point where my sympathy for people who get themselves into collisions (I refuse to call them “accidents” when every damned one of them is preventable) is practically non-existent, and my anger at them for getting in the way of everyone else who is trying to use the road responsibly is growing.

Yes she is. Also, Lionel Ritchie winning an armful of Grammies in the 80s. That is outrageous also.

If they ID him (or at least the bike and him as its owner), I assume he’ll claim that “a friend” borrowed his bike. At that point, if he declines to identify the friend, maybe he’ll be arrested for obstruction of justice?

That’s why he’s going 190, to reduce the window where any car could give him problems.

If he was only going 95 there would be twice as much time for each car to mess him up.

Both parties? Because I fail to see how someone legally changing lanes that was ramrodded by that motorbike would be at fault.

I was involved in a collision while stopped at a red light. A woman slammed into me from behind and totaled my car (she was not on a motorcycle, however).
