Picked 10. I learned to drink in Wisconsin, so most of the hard liquor I drank was a shot, followed by a beer. Now I just drink beer occasionally.
With two more voters we get to 250, so here’s an update on the Over-50% Group:

If I’m drinking a banana, something has gone horribly wrong with the universe. I drink my daiquiris (usually Hemmingway daiquiris) on the rocks, thank you.
41 off the list. Apparently I drink more than I think I do. I also go to hipster cocktail bars.
We now have one fewer 50%-and-up cocktail:

if you can find Sanpelligrino limonata that works.

The common denominator? Sweetness. 17 of the 19 on this list are sweet. Only the Bloody Mary and the Dry Martini are not.
Looks like we have us a yo-yo as far as the 50% threshold goes:

Can’t keep a good drink down?
Depends on how many you’ve had!
I was a bartender for a number of years so I’ve had most of them, probably more of them than I remembered I had. That list is missing a bunch I’d put on there, like White Russian, Greyhound, Alabama Slammer… Everything on there with ten or fewer votes can go. They are drinks that no one ever orders.
Also, people! Brandy Alexanders are waaay more delicious than Grasshoppers! Get on the ball!
Which is why they are on the list. This is a competition list, remember? It isn’t meant to be an exclusive list or a most popular list.
Here are the bottom feeders:

I’ll have a Slippery Nipple.
I for one think The Dude would be very disappointed that White Russians weren’t on the list. After all it would bring the whole list together.
Top list all makes sense, except I’m surprised that LIIT is so high (but not that it’s somewhere near the top).
That bottom list, I think the only one I’ve had is a Godmother (vodka+amaretto), not sure of the Godfather (scotch+amaretto). Maybe if I needed to get rid of that cheap Scotch that I once had. On the other hand, the only other one that even sounds familiar is “French Connection,” and then googling I see that it’s pretty much the same exact thing (cognac+amaretto), and I’ve probably had that too. But not sure what the real French Connection had to do with Italy (amaretto).
Hemingway also liked mojitos and the Hemingway special is kind of frou frou, thus everyone can go proudly out and order the fanciest umbrella drink that you want without fear of getting made fun of!

Could that last batch of 19 Voters make any significant changes in this list?
It’s a real horse race between
Screwdriver 235 83.63%
Margarita 234 83.27%
so #1 may stay in doubt forever, but LIIT is too far behind to contend. What else has a chance to make the Big List?
I find it hard to believe that a Cuba Libre didn’t finish in the top 5.
The horse race continues:

I was surprised I had about 30 of them Hit a big run around “M”. I’m not much of a cocktail guy these days (mostly wine), but I’ve hit a few of the trend new cocktail places popping up and was pleasantly surprised at some of the tasty options-- many of which you can’t get anywhere else.
