With a nod to this thread, who would win in a fight: Neo (Keanu Reeves in The Matrix and The Matrix: Reloaded), Gabe Law (Jet Li in The One) and – just for the heck of it – Duncan MacLeod (Adrian Paul, from the Highlander movies).
Neo is an expert in many forms of martial arts and has the ability to warp reality with enough mental concentration (for the sake of argument, we’ll have to assume that the battle takes place within the Matrix so that Neo has his powers).
Gabe Law has a lifetime’s worth of martial art’s training and has the combined power of all his alternate selfs (100+, if I remember correctly), so he literally has the strength, speed, endurance, etc. of 100 men.
Duncan is immortal (as long as you don’t decapitate him), and has been devleoping his martial arts skills for the last 400 or so years.
Personally, I think Duncan would bite it pretty quickly. He may be “immortal,” but a sufficiently bad injury will render him unconscious and could easily be decapitated once knocked out. Still, he does have 400 years of experience, so maybe he could defeat the other two through cunning.
As for Neo vs. Gabe, I’m not sure. Neo’s reality warping abilities are pretty awesome, but he still has difficulty fighting against “upgraded” agents in Matrix Reloaded (not to mention the hoardes of Agent Smiths he encounters in that movie). Since Gabe has the strength of 100 men, would that be equivalent to fighting 100 Agent Smiths?
So, who would you choose as the one and only “The One”?
