Not quite what we’re talking about, but…
Last year, while reading a particular thread, Philliam recognized me. Not by my style (or lack of it) – something I’d said made him realize that TreacherousCretin is his cousin’s husband. Neither of us had any idea that the other even knew about SDMB. A couple of months later at a family gathering, he told me about it. Interesting experience to be in a room full of relatives and have your cousin walk up and say “By the way, I know you’re TreacherousCretin.”

It’s mostly people I have on ignore. You know it’s a good time to start ignoring people when they’re so predictable yet wrong that you can tell just by the content who it is.
