Which proportion of babies born will go on to reproduce???

Just a nice cheerful idea, for every baby born, what is the likelihood they will have children of their own?
In other words, what’s the chance that a child doesn’t die before reaching sexual maturity, through genetic diseases or accidents or illness? And having survived to adulthood, not to be gay or mentally ill or infertile or a complete asshole or anything else that might cause them not to have children, or just to decide not to?
would the proportions be different for men and women?

It’s a very high number, up in the mid-90 percents, world-wide. I had to look it up once and I can’t even remember for what, or where I found it. IIRC, the numbers for men and women were pretty close, but it was couched in terms of people “who survive to adulthood”, presumably because high infant mortality rates would skew the percentage downward. I trust someone can come up with a better cite than my memory.
