I believe that Ronald Reagan was there in 1982-ish. ISTR hearing my parents remark about the fact that he had been there a few weeks before as I stood in line for the Jungle Cruise. But I can’t back that up with a cite.
If we can extend the discussion to Disneyland and Soviet premiers, I can think of at least one who didn’t get to visit.
Now that that’s out of the way, as I think about it, I’d be kind of surprised at the number of sitting presidents who didn’t visit Disney World. It just seems like the kind of thing a president would do, like kissing babies, giving state of the union addresses, wearing a stovepipe hat, vetoing bills, bombing countries and having sexual relations with interns.
I mean jeez, lots of guys win the Super Bowl every single year and they decide it’s worth a trip to Disney World… only one guy gets elected President of the United States every four years, I think he deserves a trip to Disney World too.
