Which song from the last 10 years rocks the most?

Eagles of Death Metal, I Want You So Hard.

“Fight Like Apes” have some rockin tunes.

Tie Me Up With Jackets

All that Will Be has Become, All that has Come isn’t Gone

“Dry and enigmatic, cerebral and tantric, Long Live the Well-Doer was the debut 2004 release for Arbouretum, …”

It Fucking rocks Me! Love that song…

Whoa… I’m realizing that the only good rock songs from the last ten years are throwbacks to the golden age of rock. I mean, one of the songs I was considering is a 2008 cover of a 1955 blues song made by a French band, for instance.

Talk about rock being dead. How are kids going to rebel with Mumford and Sons? I despair for today’s youth.

Try these on for size:

Cage the Elephant, “Around My Head”
Cafe Tacuba, “Cero y Uno”
Atomic Bitchwax, “Come On”
Kings of Leon, “Crawl”

Wait… I think the Cafe Tacuba song may be a bit too old. The Cage the Elephant one is the most recent of the four – 2011 or thereabouts.

Speaking of “Come On,” there’s also the Von Bondies’ “Come On Come On.”

That’s exactly the song I thought of going with, but I wanted to think of an example closer to today

These two are really great songs, but I wouldn’t say they rock the most.

I could’ve been more clear in my OP. When I think rocking, I think songs like Rock & Roll by Led Zeppelin, or Killing in the Name of by Rage Against the Machine.

It takes about a minute to get going

I’ll see you that and raise you the same album’s infinitely-more-rockin’ Knights of Cydonia.

Some honorable mentions (that nobody else has mentioned yet), mostly from the world of indie/throwback rock;

The Protomen: Breaking Out

White Wizzard: High Speed GTO

The Sword: Tres Brujas

Dragonforce: Through the Fire and Flames

Lordi: Hard Rock Hallelujah

The Black Keys: Little Black Submarines

Fall Out Boy, My songs know what you did in the dark.

I’ve rattled windows with this one.

Man, I thought of that one like 2 seconds before reading your post. Ladies & Gents, I think we have a winner. If that song doesn’t rock, I don’t know what does. Released in '06.

(BTW, I’ve heard interviews with Rod y Gab and they deny that their music is flamenco. Take that as you will. Personally, I think it’s Rock with a flamenco flair.)

I thought I had another honorable mention with Green Day’s American Idiot, but it was released in 2004. Just missed.

(and if we’re picking from 10,000 days, I’d go with Vicarious, but that’s just me)

Through the Fire and the Flames certainly rocks, but it might be a bit too frenetic for most listeners.

I nominate Journey-Never Walk Away from 2008.

Muse’s ‘Uprising’.

“Koi no Mega Lover”, “What’s Up, People?!” or “Zetsubou Billy” by Maximum the Hormone (2006). Any of these will kick submissions so far to the curb.
“Giants” by Anthrax (2011) rocks but may be a bit heavier than requested.
Between the Buried and Me have many but that’s heavy and technical territory. “Lay your ghosts to rest” (2012) if you wanna try one.
“Concealing Fate” by Tesseract (2011), not as technical but heavy and rocking.

Alternative winner: “Bend it like Bender!” by Devin Townsend (2009). Yeah that might actually be The Winner. Here you go, rock on!

Don’t really know what your definition of rock is, but Panic at the Disco is one of my favorite bands of recent years.

The Ballad of Mona Lisa

Miss Jackson

Hurricane

All those songs rock. in a Panic at The Disco sort of way.

All these are 2010 to 2014, and rock out a la Tool’s “10,000 Days,” with a touch of the ol’ Zeppelin:

Pond, Moth Wings

Dactyls, Flowers of Evil

Marnie Stern, Gimme

Graveyard, Hisingen Blues

(I almost added HellYeah’s “Debt that All Men Pay,” but that’s too purely metal).

Velvet Revolver’s Slither is on just about every playlist I make.

In order to appease the CRTC I will inject some CanCon with Monster Truck’s Sweet Mountain River.

Aha! I found a way to make it count. (sort of):

Weird Al’s Canadian Idiot, 2006.

The Walkmen, The Rat.
