I like my pieces to be staring the opponent down as much as possible, let them see the eyes of their killer before they die. That siad, I wonder if having your knights face yourself might actually make the opponent slightly less aware of possible fork moves?

They must always be looking at the enemy king. Muttering imprecations under their breath and making gestures with their chins.
As long as they’re not facing completely backwards, I don’t pay much attention at all to which way they’re facing. Maybe that’s why I usually lose…
Or maybe it’s because I suck.
Both knights face left like they do in the chess books. Weird, huh?
