Whicih is better, WinAmp or Windows Media Player?

I have been an avid user of WinAmp for quite awhile. I have been considering converting over to Windows Media Player. Is it better?

Here is why I mention it. One thing I want to be able to do with WinAmp is run two Visualizaion plugins at the same time. Is that possible?

I think Windows is starting to look better. It’s smoother from what I can tell.

I got the latest Windows Media Player 7.0 and had to disable it, because it kept crashing. I much prefer Winamp anyway, just because it’s easier to use, works better with drag and drop, easier to save sets of file names into a program, etc.

I have real, and the media player, and winamp.

Winamp beats ‘em all by a big ol’ mile.

Real crashes everytime I use the Real (crappy) Jukebox.
Media player is slow and complete bloatware.
Stick with Winamp.

Also, with it being Windows media player, it’ll have the “Digital Security” thing working already. On my local linux mailing list someone actually couldn’t play a song because the program decided it was a pirated copy.

I just wanted to say that one of the features that really made WinAmp my favorite was that you can tell it that you ** have no internet connection**.
Realplayer constantly tried to get online - even when I was working offline and it pissed me off.
My firewall detected Media Player trying to.
WinAmp never tries to use my connection.

Oh, no! Say it ain’t so, Joe! A Windows program that crashes!!

I’ll throw in a positive vote for Real Jukebox…It hasnt given me any problems at all, And I think it’s easier to manage large libraries on RJ than it is WA.

I installed Real Jukebox. Then I immediately lost my Auto-Play on my CD-Rom. I even checked the registry, and it was still enabled. After uninstalling the program, and double-checking the registry, I still didn’t have it.

That meant I had to do the dreaded act of re-installing Windows.
