White Castle stuffing - any Dopers tried it?

OK, it has been accomplished. Had to visit 2 White Castles this morning - the one near my home was out of onions (huh??).

So i drove a few miles more and hit another WC where I bought a dozen hamburgers with onions only; no cheese, no pickle, no ketchsturd.

Once home, I diced them up, added sage, thyme, celery, and chicken broth, and baked it in a casserole dish in the oven.

It was a hit. We actually had 2 other types of stuffing that guests brought, but my slider stuffing is the only one that was made all gone.

I wish there were leftovers; I’d be finishing them up right now.

Super easy, super tasty.

I’ll do it again.
mmm

Glad it worked out. Thanks for sharing.

Lucky you. I’d drive 45 minutes for a sack of sliders. The closest White Castle to me is about a 9 hour drive. The frozen ones just aren’t the same.

Closest White Castle to me is in Murfreesboro, TN. I live south of Miami, FL. :-/

I miss the seasonal drive between Chicago and Florida and the varied road food.

dear god the flatulence.

I was, somewhat more tastefully, picturing a flash mob trying to see how many people could be squeezed into one of those tiny restaurants.
