This is such a wonderful time to be alive!
Y’all have given me some great ideas.
I was awake at 3 AM last night and stumbled upon this site last night. (I’m fluffy and fabu, part of the challenge).
I found a ruffly toplike suggested and will pair it with the full walking skirt as suggested. I was told of a place that sells goggles every Christmas - going to run by there in a bit to see if they are on clearance (heard that happens).
And going to run by the local western wear store to see if I can find the vest for the SO.
He’s only dressing for me, so he’ll be pretty minimalist. And I agree to overkill seems to take away from the whole point. I just want some cool gears here and there and I’ll be happy.
Has anyone been watching the new episodes that started a few weeks back? You can actually watch them online at the official site. I’ve been loving them. For an hour long show, they really keep everything moving very quickly, and nothing seems to drag. Personally, I love the settings, fashion, and the weekly crimes.
Well, if you look like Matthew Bomer (Neal), you can pretty much wear anything - or nothing at all - and still look cool.
Isn’t Diahann Carroll his landlady? As yummy as Neal Caffrey is, I hesitate to think that a classy woman like Ms. Carroll would lower herself to “living with” a convicted con artist. Maybe he conned her into feeling sorry for him and giving him her late husband’s belongings?
I watch the show on Hulu, and I love it. There are two things that really impress me about the show:
(1) Peter and his wife have a really good relationship. That sounds strange, but how often do you see a really good, happy relationship on television? There are plenty of shows where a couple has heat, but very few with real warmth.
(2) Both Neal and Peter are smart and competent. When I started watching the show, I was afraid it would turn out to be about a street-wise con artist and his bumbling FBI sidekick. Instead, while they have different skills and styles, they are both highly intelligent. I can buy that Neal was very difficult to catch, and also that Peter was able to catch him. (Twice.)
The plots and dialogue and all that are good as well, but getting those two things right really makes the show work for me for some reason.
Does she know he’s a convict? (Serious question; maybe that was made clear in an episode I missed.)
Yes, she knows. So was her dead husband, hence her sympathy to Neal.
Her dead husband also was a big fan of fashion, so a lot of the hats that Neal wears on the show actually came from him as well. Sad that there isn’t a new episode on this week! But it returns next week!
