"White Collar": You kids have been holding out on me.

Bryce from “Chuck?” Kelly from “Saved By the Bell?” Crappy plots from every show from the past ten years?

I find White Collar loses me halfway through every episode, where the plot suddenly twists into a new thread, which I fail to follow, ending up with me thoroughly confused. The pacing of those moments are too fast for me.

The main series arcs are also a bit lame, being as poorly constructed as Burn Notice’s.

However, the characters are effortlessly charming.

(looking at when I paused S01E01, which was 22min in) Yeah, I can see that. But I’m a sucker for “effortlessly charming.”

Much like Psych, Burn Notice, and Royal Pains, I try not to worry about the plot, but just enjoy it moment-by-moment.

Yes, weirdly there is a sameness to all of the USA Network programs. They’re nice to start with but get old fast.

I liked the first season a lot but it has declined since then. The new season in on my DVR but it may be my last.

I really don’t care for Psych. The premise sounded so good to me but I couldn’t make it past the first few episodes of the second season. Also, it supposedly takes place in my beloved Santa Barbara and there is nothing about it that is anything like Santa Barbara. Other than the exterior shots of the police station, it isn’t even filmed here.
