It had amusing moments, and that always is encouraging.
I’m worried that the Remington Steele aspects will wear thin too soon, though. And for me to say that, is saying something.
Best line: “That’s the military. We don’t ask; we don’t care.”

I liked it. The two leads are good (though I’m always going to think of the FBI guy as Bizarro Jerry). IIRC, the female FBI agent was on LOST.
I wasn’t planning on watching, but when I turned my TV on this morning, it was just starting so I left it on. It kept me entertained for 90 minutes, so I’ll watch next week.
I thought it was pretty good. I’d been looking forward to it for a long time, so there was a high probability of unfulfilled expectations, but it delivered. Kind of lightweight, but well plotted and well executed. In other words, a typical USA Network show!
And I also can’t look at the FBI dude and not think of Bizarro Jerry! Maybe they’ll have Bizarro George (Gene? I think?) make a guest appearance.
Does anyone else think this is sort of a remake of that old Robert Wagner show, It Takes A Thief?
I liked it. It’s not at the level of Monk, Psych or Burn Notice but it was still pretty good. I’m hoping the granddaughter plays a bigger role in upcoming episodes.
I thought it was going to be a bad remake of It Takes a Thief, but I was pleasantly surprised.
I thought the leads were well cast, and it was fun. I will watch it again.
Who is playing the FBI agents wife, and what has she been in?
Tiffani Thiessen a.k.a. Tiffani-Amber Thiessen
Probably best known for her role as Valerie on the original Beverly Hills 90210* or Kelly on Saved by the Bell.
:smack: Thanks, it was on the tip of my tongue.
[Tiffani Thiessen, if the bitch-on-wheels rumors are true]
You wish.

I liked it. From a shallow point of view, the two leads are smokin’ hot, and that’s never a bad thing in my book. I have a wicked soft spot for the charming criminal, and I enjoyed the chemistry between the characters. The guest casting was excellent, too. I hope the rest of the season is as entertaining as I found the premiere.
I enjoyed, but I’m a little too worried they used Mark Sheppard a little too soon. He’s best used later in a series.
Yeah, he’s great in everything he does. I’d have liked to see him in a longer arc.
Yeah, it is a good show to fill the lack of Burn Notice. I enjoyed it. I wasn’t disappointed at all. Light-hearted and fun with a bit of seriousness to it as well.
I enjoyed the characters and it’s delivering on what I hoped it would. It’s shot beautifully has snappy dialogue and a good looking lead who dresses impeccably. What more could you ask for?
…and takes her top off for no reason at all while reclining on a chaise lounge. Yeah, like I was the only one thinking it.
It’s USA, not gonna happen.
I’m curious why it was an hour and fifteen minutes long? How are they going to fit this into a regular time slot? It was shown with “limited interruptions,” but would “normal” interruptions pad it out to two full hours? That’s a scary thought…TRM
It’s just an extra-long pilot. The regular episodes will be one hour.
I found it surprisingly likeable. I think I will be a regular watcher.
I mainly watched it to see what Matt Bomer was up to. It kept me entertained. I’d rather be watching Psych in that spot, but this isn’t a bad alternative.
I liked it. The solution to their warrant problem was very amusing. I couldn’t help but laugh at how tickled the FBI guy was by it once he figured it out.
I really enjoyed it, and already set up the Season Pass. I definitely liked the fact that the two main characters genuinely seemed to like each other, despite being on opposite sides of the law. That usually takes half a season or more on other shows.
To me, that was a bit of a flaw. I’d rather see a little more dislike, or even hatred, between them. But maybe that’s just me…TRM
